Seamless API integration
What’s this about?
When integrating with PayLane systems you can choose one of two methods: ready-to-go solutions (Secure Form), or integration using our API. The first option is quicker and easier to implement, but requires redirecting customers to another site.
The second one takes a little more time, but once you implement it, you and your customers will benefit. First of all, they’ll be able to pay on your website. It’s like in real life — you don’t go somewhere else to pay after purchasing your groceries, so why should you do so in an e-store? Plus you’ll be able to use value-added services like recurring billing or Card Data Storage. And that’s a big plus.
What does it mean?
If you integrate via the PayLane API, completing a payment on your website will be quick and easy. Your customers won’t be asked to fill in more than one form just one time – meaning they won’t have to enter the same data a few times or log into different systems. It makes buying on your site more convenient.
Some merchants worry that this solution is expensive or troublesome, but this is definitely not the case with PayLane. Of course it takes a bit more time and effort compared to our ready-to-go alternative, but we aim to make it as easy as possible. You can always count on our expert technical support.
Example
If an e-store integrates with PayLane using our API, then his customers — after checking out and choosing a payment method — will see a form (on the e-store’s website) asking for credit card data. They could also choose a previously used credit card (if this sounds interesting, check out our Card Data Storage service). After submitting such form, they’ll receive a notification saying that everything went well and the purchased goods are on the way.
