Why is there a charge on my card?

It’s a charge on behalf of one of our merchants. Most probably you've bought some product or service from them.

Who are you?

We are PayLane, a European Payment Service Provider that offers the best online payments around the web. We do whatever we can to allow our merchants selling their products and services anywhere they are to whoever they want.

Who are your merchants?

Our merchants are mostly web businesses that sell their products and services online. Mostly these businesses are SaaS and e-commerce companies.

Which merchant is charging me?

Look at a transaction descriptor on your bank statement. Yeah, the one where you’ve found this URL. There is something like PYL*XYZ. XYZ is the merchant’s name or merchant’s URL.

But, I don’t know this XYZ. Why are they charging me?

We highly recommend asking around the office. Maybe someone else made the purchase? If a bell still doesn’t ring, we recommend you to contact merchant directly and ask why they're charging you.

Can I get an Invoice/a refund for the charge?

We guess that you can, but as we are not the merchant, we are not the ones that can issue an invoice/a refund for you. You need to contact the merchant directly.

What about a chargeback?

If you do not recognize the transaction at all, you can, of course, call your bank and ask for a chargeback. But, you know, no one likes chargebacks :) This is why we recommend to contact merchant first and ask for a refund. Perhaps there is a simpler way to settle this matter.
